Creating your own debt repayment plan.Q: I owe almost $30,000 on 3 credit cards and a line of credit. After watching one of those get out of debt programs on TV last month, I decided that it was time that I got my debt under control. When I sat down to figure out how much I think I can afford to pay each month on my debt, I was shocked to find out that it was barely enough to cover the required minimum payments. I asked my credit union if they could consolidate my debt onto my line of credit but they said I would need a co-signer and I don’t want to involve anyone in my financial affairs.  I got myself into this situation and I want to be responsible and work my way out of this mess.
